BBC가 응급상황에서 What3words를 깔아서 쓰면 자신의 정확한 위치를 알릴 수 있다는 기사를 실었다가 커뮤니티에서 가루가 되도록 까이는 중. 영국을 포함한 많은 유럽 국가에서는 999 같은 긴급 번호로 전화를 걸면 AML 기술을 통해 송신자의 위치가 자동으로 전송되기 때문. 이런 기사가 위험한 게 응급상황 대처에 잘못된 정보를 줄 수 있어서.
