대면적 산림이 아니라 전 국토 임상도를 3D로 서비스하면 어떨까요? 예. 그래서 또 해 봤습니다.16,270 도엽의 1:5,000 수치임상도를 mago3DTiler를 활용해 모두 OGC 3D Tiles로 자동변환해 봤습니다. 그 결과입니다. 2,200만 채의 전국 건물도 함께 올려봤습니다. 

서버에 있는 자료를 노트북에서 당겨서 녹화했습니다. 원천 기술이 있으면 이렇게 빨리, 그리고 효율적으로 원하는 결과를 구현해 냅니다. 임상도의 수종, 소밀도, 그리고 높이값을 반영해서 3D 객체로 구현하였는데요. 이게 실제 지형에 임상 높이까지 반영된 정보입니다. 단지 산림경영 분야 뿐만 아니라 다른 분야에서도 쓰일 곳이 많지 않을까 싶습니다.

My team at Gaia3D has reconstructed a nationwide forest digital twin using the 1:5,000 National Forest Map published by the Korea Forest Service. Using mago3DTiler(https://github.com/Gaia3D/mago-3d-tiler), we converted the 2D forest data into OGC 3D Tiles, incorporating tree type, height, and density for more realistic and insightful visualization. We also extruded 22 million buildings into 3D Tiles based on their height attributes, also using mago3DTiler.

To build the terrain, we used mago3DTerrainer(https://github.com/Gaia3D/mago-3d-ter...) to generate quantized mesh from 1m-resolution DEM (urban areas) and 5m DEM for other regions. 25cm aerial orthophotos were applied as the base map to complete the visual experience.

At this scale and quality, it’s not just a national forest digital twin. It’s a true national digital twin. Wouldn’t you agree?
